DEFINITION
The
special purpose variation on the CRD paddle fan is the 'paper
trim' arrangement which is used to convey paper cut-outs,
waste and trim in an airstream. The fan includes hardened
and sharpened cutting blades on the leading edges of the impeller
blades and an adjustable inlet section to allow for a variety
of material, from tissue to cardboard, being conveyed. The
impeller is backplated to prevent tangling at the blade webs.
