DEFINITION
The
Stockbridge Airco paddle blade centrifugal fan type CRD is
designed for use in applications, such as rotary dryers and
product handling systems, where the air is heavily charged
with solids. The fan incorporates a robust radial bladed impeller,
developing pressures up to 10 kPa. Open or back-plated impellers
can be supplied. The backplate protects the impeller from
tangling by long lengths of transported material, e.g. cotton,
wool, paper. The CRD range of fans can handle up to 120,000
m3/hr. Typical users include timber mills, quarries etc.
