DEFINITION

The Stockbridge Airco centrifugal fan type CBL is specified for general industrial applications and is available in three widths to give a variety of operating capacities economically and efficiently. The flat blades are not prone to accumulation of solids and consequently the fan will retain its installed balance quality longer, therefore this design can cope with moisture and dust laden (up to 8g/m3) air or gas duties.

The standard fan specification includes all-welded robust carbon steel construction with dynamically balanced impeller. Proprietary top quality British manufactured Brookhansen motors, drives and S.K.F. bearings are used as standard.

Belt drive arrangements can be supplied with pulleys selected to give the optimum fan speed from a standard motor drive. A direct driven arrangement is also available as a more compact and economical option where a suitable motor speed matches the required fan speed.

The direct driven fan is also specified for speed controlled motor drives, offering energy and running cost savings, particularly on large fans running at varying flow rates.

For higher flow, the CBL impeller may also be used in a double width fan configuration.
