DEFINITION
The
Stockbridge Airco belt driven fan type BDA is a low noise
axial fan where the motor is mounted on the outside of the
case outside the air flow. The impeller is mounted between
two self-aligning, sealed for life bearings and driven by
a vee belts, which is isolated from the air or gas stream,
which may be explosive or contaminated at temperatures up
to 90°C. An aluminiumum impeller is available for 150°C.
By varying the motor speed, blade angle and number, a wide
range of operating demands up to 50 m3/sec at pressures up
to 1000Pa can be met.
