DEFINITION
The
Stockbridge Airco direct drive short case and long case fans
types SCA and LCA are low noise axial fans with the impeller
mounted on the motor shaft in the air flow. By using the standard
motor speeds and varying impeller blade angle and number,
a wide range of operating demands up to 50 m3/sec at pressures
up to 1000 Pa can be met. The direct drive arrangement is
suitable for general ventilation applications at temperatures
up to 60oC. The SAFE range uses Fumex motors for high temperature
emergency smoke extract applications.
